About this course
Cats are one of the most popular pets in the UK and with the rise in popularity of fancy breeds and longer haired cats, cat grooming is more important than ever. The iPET Network Level 3 Award in an Introduction to Cat Grooming is for any novice to start learning the foundations of cat grooming and how best to care for the cats welfare during the grooming process. With practical skills training, during this course you will groom a several different cats, learning about their coat types and grooming requirements. Additionally, you will complete a theory workbook introducing legislation, best practice and safety considerations of cat grooming either as a pet owner or a professional. This course is ideal for anyone who owns or works with cats including cattery assistants, pet sitters, cat breeders and veterinary support staff. With no prerequisite requirements to enrolling on the course, this qualification is fully inclusive for all feline lovers! Due to the specialist nature of cat grooming and our commitment to animal welfare, Four Paws Groom School does not offer cat and dog grooming simultaneously in any location.

Course Breakdown
Course length: 5 days
Training Time: 9.30am – 4pm
Availability: Monday – Friday (varies per location)
Study mode: Online and in person practical training
Eligibility to complete this course: Learners must be aged 16 or above and able to follow Tutor instruction. They must be comfortable around cats, breeds and temperaments and able to work at level 3.
Assessment method: Practical assessment & theory workbook completed on online e-portfolio
