About this course
Dip your toe into a career in dog grooming with the iPET Network Level 3 Award in an Introduction to Dog Grooming. Over 5 days in our school you will be introduced to professional dog grooming techniques and learn the skills to safely prepare, style and finish a number of different dog breeds. This course is the first step in learning all about dog grooming and trying your hand at some of the less complex styles, giving you solid foundations to start a new career as a dog groomer. It is perfect for students who have little knowledge of dogs but who are interested in working as a dog groomer assistant or stylist in the future. It is also an ideal course for dog owners who wish to learn how to correctly groom a specific breed in a variety of styles.
During the course you will groom a minimum of 5 dogs covering 3 different breeds. There are no pre-requisites to starting the course, meaning you can join at level 3 without having completed a lower level (level 2) course first. No previous experience is required either, we just need enthusiasm and a passion for pets! Four Paws Groom School wants to take the pressure out of adult learning and we can adapt to suit your learning style, just tell us what you need! During your course you will need to complete two theory workbooks, complete grooming diaries for the dogs you have styled and complete a grooming assessment.
