About this course
Cat grooming is a booming profession in the UK with a growing market that is ripe for those wanting to start cat grooming in a professional capacity. Whether you are a dog groomer looking to diversify your business or a novice cat lover who dreams to work with animals, the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Cat Grooming & Salon Management is simply the best qualification course for you to achieve your goals. This qualification demonstrates to employers or members of the public your professional knowledge in cat grooming and enables you to be a ‘FULLY QUALIFIED CAT GROOMER’ in the UK. Like dog grooming, cat grooming is not currently regulated but by demonstrating your expertise with this qualification, you set yourself apart from others. With no prerequisites to enroll on this course, you can go from complete beginner to professional with practical training in a school, grooming a variety of cats, alongside essential theory knowledge to support your new skills which is delivered through our easy to use e-portfolio system. This blend of in-person and online training allows learning to fit around your commitments, giving you the flexibility to complete theory work at a time and location of your choice. During the practical training, you will be trained in prepping a cats coat, bathing, scissoring, clipping, styling and nail trimming on a selection of cat breeds. This course also covers health & safety whilst cat grooming, ensuring the cats welfare throughout the grooming process, planning grooms, maintaining equipment, feline health checking, legislation to consider, customer service in cat grooming, managing a cat grooming salon or business, feline emergency first aid and more! If you aim for the top, this is the course for you!
Due to the specialist nature of cat grooming and our commitment to animal welfare, Four Paws Groom School does not offer cat and dog grooming simultaneously in any location.
