Since 2009 Four Paws Groom School has trained hundreds of people from a wide variety of backgrounds who have gone on to gain employment and build successful dog grooming businesses. Although iPET Network qualifications are available through other centres – only we can say that our Directors, Fern Gresty and Sarah Mackay are actually the founders of iPET Network! Having found other qualifications to be substandard when employing groomers, they went on a mission to change the landscape and ensure those training as dog groomers got EVERYTHING they needed including canine first aid and salon management skills. Hands-On Practical Training
The more real dogs you groom during training, the better. It really is a case of practicing the skills to perfection. At Four Paws Groom School our emphasise has always been on this practical experience and students groom a minimum of 1 dog every single day but often more as your skills develop. We have over 1000 dogs on our books, varying in breed, size and behaviour ensuring you get a wide range of coats and styles to experience along with real life behaviour handling experience. Our dog grooming qualification courses are underpinned with theory work to cement knowledge and prove your understanding of not just the how, but the why. But if theory works puts you off – don’t panic! We offer courses that require zero theory work too, another example of how we cater for all students needs.

That is why we are proud to say they are all still actively grooming bringing current techniques, trends, and real-world insight back into the teaching environment, not outdated methods. Our tutors are not only groomers, they are qualified teaching professionals too and also hold a multitude of other related qualifications in canine care, health, behaviour, sales, education, safeguarding, daycare, boarding, puppy socialisation etc. Ask us to show our certificates (we love to show them off!)
